If your kids are misusing your home as their very own recreation centre - turning sofas into climbing frames, cushions into stepping stones and fashioning superhero capes from bedsheets - it's time to unleash them into the wild.

Enjoy a family day out at Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre and pay just €2 for a child's entry, €3 for an adult's entry or €10 for a family entry (covers two adults and two children).

The little ones (and big ones) will have plenty of fun with the pedal boats and rowing boats which are available for hire in the adventure zone. Pedal boats cost €10 for 30 minutes (five people per boat) and rowing boats are just €8 (two adults and three children per boat) for 30 minutes.

There is also a ''learn to fish'' lake for budding fishermen (and women), as well as a picturesque lakeside picnic area.

The diversity of this state-of-the-art centre is explained through interactive displays and hands-on activities in the nature zone. As part of the deal you'll take part in a ten minute safari boat trip through the freshwater wetlands and have access to the 20 metre high viewing tower.

There is a cafe on site serving up fresh and tasty treats and providing a nice little respite after a day packed with adventure.
