Making your own hard liquor is a whiskey business, but brewing your own beer means you'll steer clear of danger. This brewing class is the first step in realising your dream of producing your own beer.
It isn't just rabbits that like their beer brewed with a load of hops; it can be you too for just €12 for a Home Brewing Class at The Beer Club. Not bad for a brewing master class that usually costs you €25.
A good friend of mine is doing a '30 things to do before you're 30' challenge and brewing his own beer is first on that list. I think his challenge is a really cool one but why wait till we're 30? The deal is here now so let's go!
During the class you'll learn:
- The theory of brewing
- Kit brewing essentials
- The importance of hygiene
- Different beer styles
The classes themselves are relaxed and fun classes with plenty of discussion and everyone gets to take home a bottle of Home Brew to whet the appetite and maybe spark an interest in further brewing.
The class will take place in the purpose built tasting and demo room at Beer Club HQ: 23-25 Sundrive Road, Kimmage, Dublin 12.
Classes take place on the following dates:
- February 9th: 4pm - 6pm
- February 23rd: 4pm - 6pm
- March 16th: 4pm - 6pm
- March 23rd: 4pm - 6pm
- April 6th: 4pm - 6pm

The teacher on the day will guide you through the process and you'll have the option to buy a home brewing kit to take your one-off beer brew into home production. I think I'll call my beer - GrabBeer (okay, I'll work on the name).
