When I was kid, I visited my Granny's house, there was always a tray of the tastiest freshly baked scones, waiting especially for me. Twenty years on and that same tray still awaits me on arrival. Nothing has ever come close to those scones, that was until I tried the Promenade Cafe's scones. (The coffee is better here too - but don't tell Granny).

It's the perfect spot after a walk on Dun Laoghaire Pier, or a visit to the People’s Park Sunday market, to sit and chat with friends over tea or their rich tasting Java Republic Fair Trade Organic Coffee.

You'll have no problem getting there as you just head for Dun Laoghaire and travel down the coast road. There is 98 car parking spots across the road, opposite to the Promenade Cafe, so parking won't be an issue.

So it's up to you, head in and enjoy a tea or coffee with a freshly baked scone and even choose to have a walk down the sea-front before or after - sounds delightful.
