Like a little flock of geese heading south for winter, during these chilly months we at GrabOne just can't resist packing up and fleeing to the picturesque Cork coast every chance we get. And as migrations go, you couldn't go much further south than Kinsale, the gem in Cork's crown and a haven of tranquility and culinary charms.
Journey south and discover delights for all the senses with today's Escape - €99 for a four-star trip for two to Carlton Hotel & C-Spa Kinsale, including overnight stay in a sea-view bedroom, lavish afternoon tea, full Irish breakfast and €30 voucher towards spa treatments. The usual price for this package is up to €218.
Carlton Hotel & C-Spa is set on 90 acres of mature wooded parkland, boasting panoramic views over Oysterhaven Bay and providing the ultimate in luxury and relaxation. It is home to Kinsale's first dedicated C-Spa, where you and your guest will be given €30 towards treatments lasting one hour or longer. Have a peek at some of the tempting treats on offer in the spa's brochure.
All this pampering tends to work up a hunger, so you'll be welcoming an indulgent afternoon tea and eagerly anticipating the morning's full Irish breakfast prepared by internationally-trained chefs at the Rockpool Restaurant.
The Carlton is ideally located for exploring everything the area has to offer, just 5km from the quaint narrow streets of Kinsale town and providing easy access to every stop along the region's famous rugged coastline. Built around a charming working harbour, Kinsale is renowned for maritime activities as well as golf, and celebrated as a gourmet capital of Ireland.
The coast holds prominence in Irish history, strategically used for centuries by the military. Charles Fort, built in the 1670s and in use until the 1920s, is open to the public and offers guided tours all year round. A very popular tourist spot and perfect for soaking up a bit of history while you're in the area.
Today's deal is all about taking time to appreciate your surroundings, so a 2pm late check-out is included, meaning you'll be in no rush to pack up and head home. And if you find that there's just too much to explore over two days, why not grab two coupons? As long as there's availability, these can be used on consecutive nights.
'Stayed 3 nights last week... amazing hotel. Sitting in the middle of a forest, wooden structure, then all glass and stainless steel when you enter. Woooooww. 3 amazing crystal 30-foot lights hanging in the entrance... pool 5 star... brilliant food and the the setting overlooking the bay is to die for... staff very helpful... the rooms were so nice... you just don't want to go home!'

'Wonderful hotel, we stayed in the garden suite which was ideal for a family with kids. The hotel is adjacent to Summercove and Kinsale which offers much in the way of historical sites and water sports. The beaches at Garretstown and Garrylucas are only a short distance away and were practically deserted, ideal for walking at the time of year. Charles Fort was great for the kids to wander around and immerse themselves in the history of the place.'
